    สำนักงานส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล หรือ ดีป้า จัดพิธีลงนามบันทึกความร่วมมือว่าด้วย “การส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนการพัฒนาภาคอุตสาหกรรมเกม (Digital Content)” ระหว่างสมาคมอุตสาหกรรมซอฟต์แวร์เกมไทย (16 กุมภาพันธ์ 2564, ณ อาคารดีป้า ลาดพร้าว) : มุ่งส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนให้เกิดการนำความรู้และเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลในอุตสาหกรรมเกมไปอย่างกว้างขวาง เพื่อให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุดในการพัฒนาประเทศไทย ทั้งเป็นการลดความเหลื่อมล่ำ สร้างความมั่นคงทางระบบเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และวัฒนธรรมของประเทศได้อย่างยั่งยืน

      ผศ.ดร.ณัฐพล นิมมานพัชรินทร์ ผู้อำนวยการใหญ่สำนักงานส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล กล่าวว่า อุตสาหกรรมเกม ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของอุตสาหกรรมดิจิทัลคอนเทนต์กำลังเติบโตอย่างรวดเร็ว ตามการพัฒนาของเทคโนโลยีโลกและวิถีชีวิตของผู้บริโภคที่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงอยู่ตลอดเวลา ทั้งนี้ จากผลการสำรวจข้อมูลอุตสาหกรรมดิจิทัลคอนเทนต์ของดีป้า พบว่าในปีที่ผ่านมามูลค่าอุตสาหกรรมเกมมีอัตราการขยายตัวสูงขึ้นประมาณร้อยละ 14 คิดเป็นมูลค่า 29,000 ล้านบาท ซึ่งมีแนวโน้มเติบโตอย่างต่อเนื่อง และคาดว่าในปีนี้จะมีเม็ดเงินสะพัดประมาณ 33,000 ล้านบาท โดยดีป้าเป็นหน่วยงานหนึ่งที่มีบทบาทในการขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัลของประเทศไทย มีภารกิจในการส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนเพื่อให้เกิดการสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มและเพิ่มโอกาสในการสร้างงาน สร้างการลงทุน สร้างกำลังคนให้กับระบบนิเวศของอุตสาหกรรมเกมไทยภายในปี 2564 - 2565 โดยแบ่งเป็น 4 ระยะของอุตสาหกรรมได้แก่ Beginning, Growth, Maturity และDecline

       นายเนนิน อนันต์บัญชาชัย นายกสมาคมอุตสาหกรรมซอฟต์แวร์เกมไทย กล่าวว่า อุตสาหกรรมเกมเป็นหนึ่งในอุตสาหกรรมเปี่ยมศักยภาพ และมีแนวโน้มเติบโตอย่างมหาศาล สร้างรายได้ให้แก่เศรษฐกิจดิจิทัลของประเทศไทย โดยการส่งเสริมและผลักดันจากหน่วยงานภาครัฐจะช่วยทำให้อุตสาหกรรมสามารถสร้างการเติบโตได้อย่างเป็นระบบ สร้างความได้เปรียบพร้อมกับศักยภาพในการแข่งขันให้แก่ผู้ประกอบการไทย เกิดการพัฒนาความรู้และประสบการณ์แก่บุคลากรในอุตสาหกรรมให้มีประสิทธิภาพและความเชี่ยวชาญมากยิ่งขึ้น พร้อมทั้งสร้างโอกาสในการเข้าถึงแหล่งเงินทุนและตลาดในระดับสากล

       ผศ.ดร.ณัฐพล นิมมานพัชรินทร์ กล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า “การส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนการพัฒนาภาคอุตสาหกรรมเกม (Digital Content)” ที่เกิดขึ้นในวันนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์หลักเพื่อแสดงศักยภาพและความมุ่งมั่นของประเทศไทย ในการนำนโยบายด้านดิจิทัลเพื่อเศรษฐกิจและสังคมไปสู่การปฏิบัติให้เกิดการขับเคลื่อนทั้งด้านเศรษฐกิจและสังคม พร้อมทั้งส่งเสริมการสร้างขีดความสามารถทางการแข่งขันของระบบนิเวศอุตสาหกรรมเกมไทย ผ่านเกิดการเผยแพร่องค์ความรู้ ถ่ายทอดประสบการณ์และแนวทางปฏิบัติที่ดีในการนำเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลในอุตสาหกรรมเกมมาใช้เพิ่มมูลค่าทางเศรษฐกิจให้แก่ประเทศ เพื่อรวมพลังคนทั้งประเทศในการก้าวเข้าสู่ยุคดิจิทัล พร้อมรับการเปลี่ยนแปลงและก้าวเข้าสู่เศรษฐกิจและสังคมยุคใหม่ได้ ทั้งนี้ จากแผนการส่งเสริมระบบนิเวศของอุตสาหกรรมเกมไทยของดีป้าภายในปี 2564 - 2565 ดีป้าได้เดินหน้าและจับมือกับสมาคมอุตสาหกรรมซอฟต์แวร์เกมไทยจัดโครงการ depa Game Accelerator Program สำหรับอุตสาหกรรมเกมครั้งแรกในประเทศไทย โดยมีเป้าหมายเพื่อเป็นเวทีในการส่งเสริมและพัฒนาศักยภาพผู้ผลิตและพัฒนาเกมสัญชาติไทยให้มีมาตรฐานก้าวไกลระดับโลก ซึ่งมีกำหนดการเปิดตัวโครงการครั้งยิ่งใหญ่ในวันที่ ๒ มีนาคม ๒๕๖๔ ณ Thailand E-Sports Arena ศูนย์การค้า THE STREET รัชดา

16th February 2021, depa Ladprao - The Digital Economy Promotion Agency, or depa, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Thai Game Software Industry Association or TGA to promote and support the Digital Content to the wide adopting digital innovations and technologies especially in the game industry to achieve the top benefit of Thailand's development and reduces inequality, ensuring sustainable economic, social, and cultural security of the country.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuttapon Nimmanpatcharin, President and CEO of depa said that the game industry is part of the digital content industry that speedily growing along with the world technology, and the lifestyles of consumers are constantly changing. According to the depa’s survey of the digital content industry, that in the past year, the valuation in the game industry has increased by 14 percent, or about 29 billion baht, and estimated that these years it will be worth 33 billion baht. Therefore, depa is an agency that contributes to driving the digital economy and society of Thailand with a mission to the promotion and supporting for creating more value and increase the opportunity to the digital workforce, investing and digital manpower in the game industry’s ecosystem within 2021 – 2022 with 4 phases of the industry which is Beginning, Growth, Maturity, and Decline

Mr. Nenin Ananbanchachai, President of the Thai Game Software Industry Association or TGA states that the game industry is one of the industries with great potential and is likely to hugely grow. It can be generating income for the nation's digital economy. By promoting and encouraging the government will boost the game industry and create firm growth. Also create advantages along with competitiveness for Thais entrepreneurs, developing knowledge and experiences for the workforce in the industry to be more efficient and proficient. All along with creating opportunities for matching with venture capital and global markets.

The partnership of promoting and supporting the Digital Content has happened to spotlight Thailand's potential in the digital economy and society policy applied with the real sector. Together with supporting competitiveness in Thai’s game industry ecosystem through knowledge and experience sharing, and best practices for increasing valuable for Thailand’s economy by the game industry. Moreover, to collaborate with Thais to transform to the digital era prepared to get ahead of any disruption. Therefore, based on the development of the depa's the game industry's ecological promotion plan by 2021 – 2022, depa together with TGA announce a new project “depa Game Accelerator Program”. The project will be launched on March 2, 2021, at Thailand E-Sports Arena, THE STREET Ratchada.
